Tacit OS was born from real experience in the trenches of trucking.
Our founder started with the goal of building a small fleet. When the very first driver suffered a life-threatening wound and could no longer drive, he taught himself to drive so the company wouldn't fail. What followed was a string of unreliable drivers that exposed the harsh reality of how broken recruiting and driver turnover really are.
After selling the trucks, the pivot was clear: build a truck management company to help other carriers operate more successfully. Through managing fleets for others, the patterns became obvious — the entire industry was being held back by the same systemic issues.
The best way to help wasn't just one fleet at a time. It was to take all of that hard-earned knowledge and build Tacit OS — a platform that solves the real problems carriers face every day.
